THE FINALS 49th San Francisco Stand-Up Comedy Competition

Noted comedy promoters, Fox Family Productions of San Rafael, decided last year that what was good for the 49ers was good for them, too. They could move the last night of their legendary event from The City to their hometown & county. It was a gutsy decision that proved popular with 700 fans turning out to see five finalists each perform their best, most hilarious 15-minute set before the overall winner was crowned.
The annual San Francisco Stand-Up Comedy Competition has been credited with discovering many future stars including Dana Carvey, Louis CK, Ellen DeGeneres, Marc Maron, Patton Oswalt, Jimmy O. Yang and, most memorably, Robin Williams. Auggie Smith, a show in himself who won in 2010, will host.

A 30 year veteran of comedy stages around the world Auggie Smith has been seen on Comedy Central, Last Comic Standing and can be heard regularly on The Bob and Tom Show. His long career has included being voted Club Comic Of The Year at the Aspen Comedy Festival and winning both the prestigious Seattle and San Francisco International Comedy Competitions. Auggie has performed at the Montreal Comedy Festival, The Boston Comedy Festival, The Great American Comedy Festival and the Laughing Skul
