This will be a celebration of Marin Women in Jazz by two of its finest singers!

Deborah Winters Quartet for the past few years has been a mainstay at Sausalito Art Festival. She has fronted Peter Welker All Star Band to sellout crowds at Throckmorton and summers on the shore of the Petaluma River. Nor is she a stranger to the Showcase Theater, performing multiple times in Cole Porter Society productions.
Deborah Winters (vocals) will be backed by Bay Area jazz legends: Ken Cook (piano), Ron Belcher (bass), and Akira Tana (drums).

DARiA has performed with her band and brought down the house at prestigious venues such as Yoshi's, Throckmorton, Fenix, among others in the Bay Area and internationally. She toured extensively with Dan Hicks and the Hot Licks worldwide, including performing at Montreux Jazz Festival.
DARiA (vocals) will be joined by another Bay Area jazz legend, Frank Martin (piano).

Both singers' most recent albums have been acclaimed by the press:

Winters' "Lovers After All" one of "ten best local albums of the year."
-Paul Liberatore, Marin IJ

Winters' "...gently beatific handling of Ellington's "Come Sunday" is among the finest ever recorded."
-Christopher Loudon, Jazz Times

DARiA "...sings with unselfish-conscious abandon, showcasing her extraordinary range, breaking through the constraints of the conventional, fearlessly reinventing tunes and melodies."
-Paul Liberatore, Marin IJ

DARiA's "...interpretations are filled with surprises and creativity ...worthy of a Ella Fitzgerald."
-Scott Yanow, LA Jazz Scene

A portion of proceeds will be donated to Marin Cultural Association.
