San Francisco Stand-Up Comedy Competition
Friday, September 13, 8:30pm
The legendary San Francisco Stand-Up Comedy Competition, now in its 38th year, returns to the hometown of its producers with an outstanding group of future stars gleaned from hundreds of applicants. It's well known that Robin Williams placed second in the original 1976 event. Since then the likes of Louis CK, Ellen DeGeneres, Patton Oswalt, Wanda Sykes and many, many others have made this their first major showcase. More recently, 2011 champ Sean Kent landed a starring role in the new A&E series, "Dads Club," and the runner-up that year, Alex Koll, appeared on "Conan" earlier this year.
